We want YOU to help manage our lab!

We, the Contextual Dynamics Lab at Dartmouth College, are looking for a new lab manager! Are you interested in helping us plumb the depths of human memory systems? Are you kind of nerdy and enjoy working hard in a fun environment? Do you like mountains, trees, woodland creatures, and wide open spaces? Or maybe you’re thinking about graduate school, but you’re looking for some additional research experience first? Well…then what are you waiting for? Send us an application, because we have the perfect job for you!

Who we’re looking for:

The ideal candidate will have (at least) a bachelor’s degree from a four year college, be super organized, resourceful, responsible, and generally able to manage an unruly band of absent-minded (but brilliant!) scientists who do all of their paperwork wrong and can’t use a calendar to save their lives. Bonus points for any of the following:

  • Interest in our lab’s research and furthering ideals of open science
  • Having some sort of quirky and/or interesting back story
  • Prior research or lab management experience, especially related to cognitive neuroscience or psychology, or something computational or mathy
  • Prior experience running experiments (behavioral, EEG, fMRI, ECoG)
  • Management experience (e.g. supervising, leadership)
  • Knowledge of or experience handling (writing, submitting, ensuring ongoing compliance of) IRB protocols
  • Coding experience (especially Python or JavaScript)— extra bonus if you have a GitHub repo!
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Interested?  Please send us the following information through this link:

  • A cover letter explaining how you're a great fit for this position (see above for characteristics of "who we're looking for")
  • A CV or resume
  • A link to (or description of) a paper, poster, or other project that you're super proud of (if not obvious, please explain your role)
